Texthelp's UDL Touchdown Keynote Speech

Supported Xavier Cooper, former NFL player, investor, and co-founder of the scholarship fund, Everyone Learns Differently, through the process of preparing for his keynote speech and created the slideshow presentation he presented at Texthelp's back-to-school UDL Touchdown event.

SLI 2022 Virtual Education Conference

This conference gave educators the tools to make real change at their colleges. This was a healing space for all attendees, who are often left feeling empty by the responsibilities of being an advocate. Kayla's contribution to this event was monumental! Not only did she coordinate the conference and create all the marketing materials, but she also moderated the event, managed all communication from start to finish, created and led an activity the day of, and developed training materials along with a webpage for Rooted in Love's 2022 Summer Learning Institute.

2022 Speaking Engagment Highline College Alum Panel

Annually invited as a guest panel speaker at Highline in partnership with TRiO and the Transfer Center. At this event, Kayla advises students on how to apply for the Martin Achievement Scholarship from the University of Washington as a 2020 recipient. Since giving this presentation the first time, Kayla has known and advised three other students who have successfully become Martin Achievement Scholars themselves.
